WEEK 1

Hello my name is Hidayatul Ilmi. I am in 12th grade from Senior High School 1 Purwosari, Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. I join SOS4LOVE PROJECT. I think this is a good project. Because this project is related to SDG. So that we can learn, gain insight, and take action for sustainable development and protect ecosystems. In here I explain SDG number 13 about climate action.

 "Earth gives life to humans. But humans are killing the earth."

Many people have exploited natural resources. Some of them are aware and know the consequences. But, they don't seem to care. Not only that, there are still many human activities that cause climate change where the earth's temperature increases and the weather becomes extreme. Earth gave us a place to live but why do humans try to destroy it? Some people only think about money and economic growth. Even though it is like that, some humans also try to heal the earth by doing greening actions and etc.

WEEK 2



 "When we heal the earth. We heal our self."

    This is my homemade astronaut helmet. I made this astronaut helmet out of plastic balls and I modified it to be more interesting. I like the results of my work. I think this can hone our creativity. In addition, of course we will learn a lot and add insight. Still on the same topic is climate action. one of the causes of climate change is human activity. Human activities cause air pollution. The pollution of vehicle and factory fumes which have an incrased impact on CO2 on the earth. Increased waste disposal causes waste containing a lot of methane gas to decompose. Agriculture and farm, when farmes add nitrogen fertilizer to the ground, some nitrogen will turn into nitrogen oxide.
    There are several actions we can take. We can change our habits such as the effectiveness of using vehicle by using a bicycle instead of a car. Planting plants in the yard as a form of greening. We can actually reverse climate change by changing our diet collectively. Covid-19 is often considered the time the earth is resting. This pandemic is evidence and a reminder to all of us that collective energies do exist. Our actuon can be started from small things but have a big impact on life.

The Caterpillar and The Bat             When the sky turns dark and morning becomes night. That’s when the bat look for food. The bat flies to   the guava tree which he often visited. When going to get guava, bats are shocked because caterpillars suddenly appear from inside guava. “Gosh you surprised me. Why did you eat my fruit? This is my guava tree.” Said the bat in anger. “Oh...come on, this is a fruit tree for all forest dwellers. And anyway I have eaten this guava.” Said the caterpillar. Tsunami Tsunami is a natural disaster caused by the increasing waves of the sea to land with a high swiftness as the consequence of the quake which is centred under the ocean. The quake can be caused by land erosion, sifted plate, an erupted volcano as well as a meteoroid that falls in the ocean. Tsunami usually happens if the size of the earthquake exceed until 7 on the Richter scale. This tsunami is quite dangerous, mainly for those who live around the beach. With great force, it will sweep out whatever around it. From all causes of tsunami, earthquake is the major cause. An earthquake on the bottom of sea gives rise to an affliction of the sea water that caused by the change of the profile of the ocean floor that generally occurs because of a tectonics earthquake and perpendicular (vertical) ground motion with the surface of the sea water or earth surface. If the movements of the ground are horizontal on the surface of the sea, there will not happen tsunami.
